Let’s adjust “If I Had a Million Dollars” for inflation

The Barenaked Ladies had a big hit with “If I Had a Million Dollars” back in 1992 when it was released as a single from their Gordon album (although the song dates back even further to their indie years).

But that was a long time ago. A million bucks doesn’t buy what it used to. According to the Bank of Canada’s inflation calculator, you’d need almost $1.8 million to have the equivalent buying power of a billion dollars today. This update addresses that. (Via Tom)
