Let’s look into the effect the UEFA Euros are having on music

If you’re the soccer football type, it’s been a good month with Canada’s run at the COPAs and the UEFA tournament in Germany.

A site called How Music Charts (run by Chartmetric) has been keeping tabs on the relationship between the UEFAs and music. If you’re an artist and your song gets adopted by a national squad as their official theme, things can be very lucrative thanks to additional streams and sales. It’s also an honour to have the official song for the tournament.

They put together these handy charts. There are plenty more here, too.
