Light Bulb Doubles as a Bluetooth Speaker

I went to Home Depot on Saturday looking for a simple 40-watt incandescent light bulb for a bedroom lamp.  I eventually found one, but not before being confused by the vast array of new lighting options, especially in the area of LEDs and those awful CFLs.

But don’t get me wrong.  I’m all for adapting technology that’s greener and more efficient that what Edison gave us more than a hundred years ago.  In fact, I find myself getting deeper into lighting options because–well, because it seems like the new geek frontier in the Internet of Things.

I’d really like a set of Hue lights, but they’re a bit out of the budget right now.  And now I’m distracted by this new thing by AwoX from France.  It’s a smart light bulb that can also function as a Bluetooth speaker.  Read more at Mashable.
