I Like This: Left of Centre

I’ll admit my bias right up front: being from a small town myself, I have a soft spot from bands from places like that who have big-city aspirations.  Just because you’re from the middle of nowhere doesn’t mean you can’t be good. All you need is three chords and an attitude.

Which brings me to Left of Centre, a group of guys originally from Deloraine (pop. 977) and Hamiota (pop. 850), a couple of towns in southwestern Manitoba. They now divide their time between Brandon (pop. 46,000) and Winnipeg. Take a look what they’ve done with a song called “Let This Die.”
