Line-up for the 2012 Rifflandia Festival in Victoria, BC

Victoria is a pretty place.  But it can also be a little, well, quiet.  It is, after all, one of the the top choices in the country for retirement.  But then we have Rifflandia, which is definitely not quiet.

The fifth annual edition of the festival coming up September 13-16 will feature more than 115 bands from across Canada and the rest of the planet.  To wit:  The Flaming Lips, Cake, DJ Shadow, Best Coast, Dan Mangan, Fucked Up, Everlast, Reggie Watts, Saul Williams, The Antlers, Band of Skulls, Austra, Chixdiggit!, Mother Mother, DJ Shadow, Sloan and a TON of others.
