Linkin Park will finally announce something at 6pm EDT today

After last week’s bait-and-switch countdown-then-count-up timer trolling, Linkin Park has assured everyone that they have an announcement coming at 6 pm EDT/3 pm PDT today (September 5). Fans on the mailing list got a message confirming this, saying “Be Part of Something.” You can also register for text updates at (310) 388-6164.

So what is it? A select number of fans have been invited to a live event of some sort. Reddit has posted a waiver that all attendees must sign.

Digging into the waiver and going beyond the standard legal bumpf about liabilities, there’s also something about consenting to be transported to and from a venue. In other words, meet at one place and we’ll take you to where things are actually happening. Furthermore, participants have to consent to being filmed.
