The Linninstrument

Linn, the people who gave us a drum machine back in the 80s, have come up with a new musical instrument. It’s MIDI-based and aims to give the musician the same sort of control and feel as they would get from an acoustic instrument.

Roger Linn has a lot to make up for.  At the 2011 Grammy Awards, he said “Remember back in the early 1980s when pop music started using drum machines, and consequently lost all of its soul and human-ness? Well, that’s my fault.”
