Listen to a Previously Unheard Version of “Purple Haze”

Even though he’s been dead for more than four decades, Jimi Hendrix remains very prolifc when it comes to new material.

Next up is Jimi Hendrix Experience: Miami Pop Festival, a recording of a performance from May 1968.  That festival was promoted in part by the guy who trained dolphins for the TV show Flipper.  Seriously.

This recording will be available on November 5.  Meanwhile, head over the The AV Club to hear a previously unreleased version of “Purple Haze.”

  • Well these releases of content is to pay for Jainie Hendrix's lifestyle (his non-blood but adopted by his father, sister).
