Listen to Chris Cornell’s cover of “Nothing Compares 2 U” (It’s FINALLY getting a proper release)

Chris Cornell had one of the greatest voices of his generation. The man could wail with the greats but he also had the ability to project tenderness and restraint. One of the best examples is a recording he made of the Prince/Sinead O’Connor classic, “Nothing Compares 2 U” at the SiriusXM studios in 2015. It’s been floating around online ever since but has never had an official release until now.

Come November 16, a sprawling box set simply called Chris Cornell will be released, featuring 64 songs from all across Chris’ career. “Nothing” will appear as part of that.

  • It’s an amazing cover for sure, but personally I think his cover of Led Zeppelin’s Thank You is even more pwerful. Just a beautiful rendition.
