Live Nation Enters a Partnership with Snapchat

Live Nation, the world’s largest concert promotion company, has pulled even with rival AEG by teaming up with Snapchat. The idea is to use the app’s Live Stories feature to cover music festivals. Simply upload your Snapchat videos and photos and they will be collected, curated and presented by the people at Snapchat.

From Music Week:

“Some of our best summer festivals will now be covered from every angle by music fans themselves,” said Live Nation Europe CEO Paul Latham. “Thousands of special festival moments are captured at our events and Snapchat’s Live Stories will bring these together for everyone to experience – from fellow festivalgoers to fans across the globe.”

It’s a small partnership–there are just three UK festivals and one in Sweden–but if this works out, you can bet this will expand.

Frankly, I don’t get Snapchat. Then again, it’s not exactly the kind of app aimed at someone in my demo.
