London Tube’s “Mind the Gap” Voice Has Died

If you’ve ever taken a ride on the London Underground, you’ll have heard the ominous voice urging you to “mind the gap” between the train and the platform. That voice belonged to Phil Sayer, a voiceover artist, radio and TV person.

This past Thursday, Phil died of esophageal cancer. He was 62.

His wife broke the news on Facebook saying “We are sorry to say that this service terminates here.” (Via CNN)
