Are You Looking for a Career in Media? Then You Might Want to Attend This Free Industry Panel

I spent a chunk of yesterday at Ryerson University talking to students in the Radio and Television Arts program. As the official Broadcaster in Residence at the Allan Slaight Radio Institute, I help future broadcasters map out their careers, a duty I take extremely seriously. That’s why I’m also going to participate in an event called Future You: Preparing for Your Career in Media, which is part of the Ontario Association of Broadcasters Career Day. Set for Corus Quay in Toronto on March 6, this panel will discuss where media is headed in the digital world and how students and other media hopefuls can best prepare themselves.

The event is open to all students who are currently enrolled in broadcasting or broadcasting-related programs at colleges and universities in Ontario. Registration is 100% free but space is limited, so admission will be on a first-come, first served basis. And you need one of your profs to provide the introduction.
