MAGA people are losing their sh*t over this Green Day stunt
Last November, I sat down with all the guys in Green Day and asked if they were in an American Idiot Part 2 mindset thanks to the inanities of Donald Trump and his MAGA disciples. Billie Joe played that down a little back then, but now that the US presidential election is less than 100 days away, Green Day has something to say.
The Saviors tour started in Washington DC this month and at one point, Billie Joe help up a plastic Donald Trump mask with the word “idiot” written on the forehead.
To be clear, this was a Halloween-type mask, not some facsimile of a severed head, the kind that got Kathy Griffin canceled for a while.
MAGA Repulicans are apoplectic. “Severed head” trended on X. There were comments like “If a Republican did that with a severed Biden or Harris head – early morning FBI raid, shackles and prison time.”
Oh? What about this?
Others were a little less concerned.
