Man Found to Sing Lowest Possible Note

Sure, you could use ProTools to fudge things, but composer Paul Mealor wanted the real deal for his new album, Tranquility: Voice of Deep Calm with the St. Petersburg Chamber Choir.

He launched a search for someone who could sing a low E–two octaves below middle C.  

He found Tim Storms, an American, who can reach this low bass note (41.203 Hz).  That’s equal to the eighth-lowest key on a standard 88-key piano.
