UPDATE: Marilyn Manson Injured by Falling Stage Prop in New York (Video)
About 45 minutes into a show on the Heaven Upside Down tour in New York last night, Marilyn Manson was injured–“crushed,” according to some reports–by a falling stage prop.
The band was in the midst of performing “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” at around 10:10 pm when the prop–two giant fake pistols–went over. Manson was climbing the prop, which then began to wobble. Manson fell backwards and then the prop went over on him.

The band continued to play for a few moments until they realized the boss wasn’t getting up. The house lights were turned up, and Manson was stretchered off my roadies after being freed. That was followed by an announcement that the gig was canceled “due to injury.”
Manson was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

UPDATE: Manson is now resting at home in LA, but a bunch of shows have been postponed with no word on any rescheduling yet. Manson is also nursing a bad ankle that he broke earlier in the tour in Pittsburg.
Here’s an official statement from Manson’s people:
Marilyn Manson is being forced to cancel several of his October dates on his forthcoming US tour. On Saturday night, the legendary performer suffered an injury on stage towards the end of his set at NYC’s Hammerstein Ballroom causing him to cut the show short. He was treated for the injury at a local hospital and will be recuperating at home in Los Angeles.
The shows from Boston, Oct 2 through Houston, Oct 14 will be rescheduled for a later date. Manson hopes to return to the stage soon, more details on upcoming shows to follow.
Manson’s 10th album ‘Heaven Upside Down’ will be released this Friday, Oct 6 via Loma Vista/ Caroline International.
