Maynard from Tool is Selling His Hollywood Mansion. Interested?

Maynard James Keenan is quitting Hollywood–or at least the place he designed himself.  Maynard–a former student at Kendall College of Art and Design–bought the place in 1990 for $80,000, gutted it and built his dream home.

Okay, so maybe it’s a bit overdone in some rooms…

The 3,750 square-foot pile at 3180 Hollyridge Drive has four bedrooms and six bathrooms and sits on a generous quarter of an acre of gated property.

It’s on the market now for $2,795,000.  Get more info here.

  • Hmmm… all the attention from MI and the spread to other blogs like yours has changed the price… now listed at $2.495m. A $300k haircut! Yikes. This is a great home… for MJK. For anyone else, they’re likely looking for something a little more them and a little less metal. I don’t even know where an agent would start when it comes to telling MJK he has to depersonalize the property. Maybe if they threw in some recording sessions and early listens to the rumoured new album?
