Metallica has a new vinyl subscription club

Back in the day was the Columbia Records Club. Later, Sub Pop started up its Singles Club. Now we have Metallica’s new vinyl subscription plan.

If you’re a ‘Tallica completist, you’ll want to sign up for this chance to collect rarities and demos from the back catalogue, each on limited-edition 7-inch singles. Welcome to The Metallica Vinyl Club.

This year will see four releases, all TBA but some hitherto unknown version of “Enter Sandman” seems to be one of them.

How much? A year will cost US$49.99. That will get you the four records, a digital download card, and your own membership card. The band also promises, “additional collectibles,” although what that means is still TBD.
