Metallica Looks Sharp in Italian Menswear Campaign

If you don’t think that heavy metal and Italian luxury menswear go together, think again. The latest ad for Brioni features Metallica. Photographed in San Francisco by Zackery Michael, the black and white images were inspired by the cover art for Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”.

On Instagram, the band thanked Brioni’s new creative director Justin O’Shea:

“We are beyond thrilled to have been invited to be the face of Italian luxury menswear powerhouse Brioni as they kick off their first creative campaign under the direction of newly appointed creative director, uber cool style star Justin O’Shea”.

Wearing Brioni suits and tuxedos, there’s no argument that these rockers clean up nicely. Additionally, according to Billboard, “[this] campaign comes two weeks after Metallica launched a collaboration with L.A.-based line Citizens of Humanity and e-comm site Mytheresa for a denim collaboration influenced by the band’s heavy metal style”.
