Metallica to Open for…a Baseball Game?
Yep. This Friday, Metallica will be the opening act for a game between the Giants and the Dodgers at AT&T Park. The team has declared May 3 to be “Metallica Night.”
“When the Giants take on their arch-rivals the Los Angeles Dodgers, we’ll be on hand that night to kick off the game with the National Anthem and first pitch, joining the orange and black fanatics with Metallica vibes and shenanigans throughout the evening to cheer on the team for the first home Dodger game of the season.”
I’m still a little unclear on this. Are they actually going to perform? Do the national anthem? Or something else?
If this works, does this mean that Rush should open for the Blue Jays?
Combined with the ancient history of their infamous anti-pirate stance, I think these guys get advised by too many fat middled aged men smoking cigars…
