  • This is fascinating! I’ve thought often about the fact that if it was not for the occasional time a friend tells me about a band they like or the Spotify playlist that plays band that I don’t know, I would live in a almost closed music bubble.
But even then, Spotify only plays music in the same genre I listen to and my friends recommend music they think I would like. I’m rarely exposed to new genre outside alternative music and I realize I’m quick to dismiss something new, even tought I’m a huge music fan. I’ve grown up with MuchMusic and MusiquePlus, I do miss it if I think about it.
George Stroumboulopoulos made a requiem to bring back mixtape a while ago, still a good idea!
