US Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell–you know, one of Trump’s biggest lapdogs and the self-described Grim Reaper for so much legislation–has a problem with any new laws that might harden the US electoral system against hacking by foreign actors.
Even though everyone (except Trumpites) says that Russia, China, Iran, and others are trying to poke holes into voting hardware and software, McConnell is stonewalling everything.
He spouts some reasons for his position on blocking the new anti-hacking laws, but many people aren’t buying it, including MSNBC morning hose Joe Scarborough, who has accused McConnell of siding with the Russians. He’s taken to calling him “Moscow Mitch.”
