Monday Timesuck: A New Way to Experience the Voyager Gold Records

Voyagers 1 and 2 are now a long way off (20.6 billion and 16.9 billion miles away) and still light-years away from being discovered by our new alien overlords, so it may be some time before anyone/anything cues up the Golden Records and hears the messages from Earth.

Meanwhile, back on Earth, people remain fascinated with the data encoded on these discs. Science Friday created this special 360 video. If you have a VR headset, grab it for this video. If you don’t fire it up in Chrome and explore it from there. (Via Mental Floss)
