By Larry Lootsteen

Artist: The Phantom Light, “Lounge of Love (Live Session)”

Album: Single

I had to post this as it just really got to me…

Sounds like:  A haunting and beautiful woman…

Artist: Formes, “Alone”

Album: Single

This indie psych outfit really knows how to bring it.

Sounds like: Feeling alone in a crowded room…

Artist: Hottaches, “White Line”

Album: Single

I had to give this a couple of listens to get into.  Something in it caught me so deal with it!

Sounds like:  Cheeky little buggers!!

Artist: Apollo Junction, “Begin”

Album: Single

I always like when I listen to something and it surprises me.  This one brought me joy.

Sounds like:  Some mates showed up for a row and ended up having a party

Artist: Modified, “Die To Resist”

Album: Modified

This Toronto outfit is making a real go of it.

Sounds like:  A cross between Linkin Park and Metallica, sort of!

Artist: Outer Islands, “Balloon Castle”

Album: Single

From the ashes of Vacuity…

Sounds like:  A coffee shop, cigarettes, staring out on a rainy day…
