Motley Crue Will Tour One More Time and Then Be Legally Barred from Touring Ever Again

Well, this is a first.  Motley Crue announced their final tour yesterday and promised in writing–in a legally-binding document–that they would never, ever tour again.  They want to make it clear that this farewell tour is an actual farewell.

At the press conference in LA yesterday, all four members signed a form Cessation of Touring Agreement, which will come into the effect at the end of 2015.  Their lawyer, Doug Mark, had this to say:  “Other bands have split up over rancor or the inability of people to get along, but this is a mutual among all four original members and peaceful decision to move on to other endeavors and to confirm it with a binding agreement.”

The tour begins in Grand Rapids Michigan on July 2 and will move through 72 cities in North America (ending in Vancouver) before moving to Europe and beyond for 2015.

And just so everyone gets their fill of Crue, the tour will coincide with the release film version of their autobiography, The Dirt.
