Mrs. Major Tom

William Shatner’s Seeking Major Tom album follows what happened to Bowie’s doomed spaceman after he dared leave the capsule.  One of the songs on the album is “Mrs. Major Tom,” which is performed by Sheryl Crow.

Neuphoria Recordings points out that this is a cover of a 2003 song by K.I.A., a Canadian electronic artist.  Here’s his original version.  Compare it to Sheryl’s version here.
