Music from Space by GRB 080916C

Astronomers are fascinated with a phenomenon called “gamma-ray bursts.”  This highly energetic electromagnetic radiation originates in unimaginably large explosions far out in the universe.

An object known as GRB 080916C lost its shit in September 2008 and scientists have been examining it ever since.  One result has been to turn these gamma-ray emissions into a song.
