Some music news about Super Bowl LII that you should know

Things are afoot in Minneapolis ahead of Super Bowl LII.

1. A Super Bowl Week concert venue was evacuated when a gas leak was detected.

The Armory, one of the city’s big party venues–a place that’s hosting Imagine Dragons, Diddy, Cardi B, DJ Khaled, Pink and Jennifer Lopez–was ordered emptied at around 1pm yesterday when crews found that an above-ground pressure relief valve was leaking. No injuries. Everything’s cool. The place is open again.

2. Some people are nervous about Justin Timberlake’s halftime show.

Will there be another Nipplegate? People keep bringing that up.

3. Can Spotify predict the game winner?

Spotify thinks so. By looking at the number of playlists created by hometown fans to prep for the game, the company predicts that the Patriots will prevail. That may sound dumb, but Spotify notes that the team with the most Super Bowl playlists created by listeners over the last three years have predicted the winner.
