Music Start-Ups Coming in 2012

The first big music event of the year is MIDEM in Cannes, France.  Starting January 28, people from all over the industry will meet to drink heavily, eat too much and discuss what’s going on in the business.

It’s also a place where start-up companies with new ideas abotu music will show off their stuff to the movers and shakers.  Soundcloud, Songkick and The Echo Nest all had their debuts at MIDEM.

So what should we be watching for this year?  TheNextWeb has a list of 30 innovative start-ups that could rock our world in the coming months.

Who knows?  Maybe by this time next year, we’ll all be using RockStar Motel, Watzatsong and Flowd.
