Music Streaming Habits of Extremely Successful People

Do you listen to music while you work? Forbes takes a look at the kind of music very successful people pump into their heads during a workday.

If you spend your working hours within arm’s (or headphone cord’s) length of a computer or smartphone, the chances are pretty good that you’re mind-melding with streaming service of some kind. But beyond the predictable servings of Spotify and Pandora, I’ve found that many of the smartest and most successful people I know tend to listen to some pretty off-beat beats while at work—a tendency that that some of them view as an important tool for pulling peak professional performance.

To find out what they use for auditory enhancement, I reached out to a handful of friends, founders, people I’ve interviewed, or folks I otherwise happen to admire in order to a ask them all a simple question: “What do you stream while you work, and why?” Some of their answers were surprising, if not profound.
