Musical Vacation Snaps–Such As They Are

I found this amazing pipe organ in a church in Bari, Italy.  I’m sure it’s beautiful for sacred music, but I couldn’t help thinking about using it in something like Deep Purple’s “Child in Time” or “Highway Star.”  And it would be KILLER in the Charlatans’ “Sproston Green” or “The Only One I Know.”

Then in Dubrovnik, I saw this four-piece band featuring a guy on flute, another on guitar, a third on violin and the star of the show, a dude playing the bottles.  He ROCKED Mozart.

  • I usually flashback to The Simpson's episode wherein the congregation has an Iron Butterfly moment. "This sounds like Rock and or Roll"
