My Bloody Valentine Releases Their New Album TONIGHT!

Note: I’m updating this as I go on my phone. This post is a log of everything I’ve found out over the course of the night. -AC

As I write this, it’s 5:38 EST. Check out this Facebook post from the official My Bloody Valentine Facebook page.

And let’s look closer at that avatar. Is this the album artwork?

And here’s a tweet from @TheOfficialMBV:

If this does come to pass and the album is released tonight, it will be the first MBV album since Loveless was released on November 4, 1991. This will bring 21 years, 2 months and 29 days of waiting to an end.

Put another way, MBV fans have been waiting for a follow-up to Loveless for 7,761 days. That’s 186,264 hours or 670,550,400 tickets of the clock.

We’re waiting. I have a speaking thing tonight, so can someone email me at [email protected] if and when this happens?

Update at 7:38 pm EST: Mike tells me it’s up at www.mybloodyvalentine.org but the server is melting.

The Internet is broken. Thousands are spending their Saturday night hitting the “refresh” button.
