Never Throw Anything at the Stone Temple Pilots

Here’s a safety tip: if you ever find yourself at a Stone Temple Pilots concert, NEVER throw anything at the band.

During a show near Boston in 1992, a few members of the audience started heaving things at singer Scott Weiland. After a few minutes of this, Scott began screaming at one particular guy and challenged him to come up on stage.

Then the crowd in the pit (who were suitably annoyed at this bonehead) picked him up and body-surfed him to the front of the stage whereupon Scott and guitarist Robert DeLeo jumped into the pit and allegedly beat him silly.

Charges were laid against the band and Scott and Robert have had to pay for this guy’s medical expenses.
