And the New Apple iPhones Will Be Called…
I’m sure there was a bookie somewhere taking wagers on what Apple was going to call its new iPhones. Would its super-Jesus god phone be the iPhone 8? iPhone Pro? iPhone Edition? Or would they go with something else?
If you went with “something else,” you win. And if you picked iPhone X, you get double the points.
According to TechCrunch, if the findings of a developer sifting through code can be trusted, the iPhone X (“X” to denote the 10th anniversary edition), we’ll also see somewhat lesser phones called the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. That’s a bit of surprise because it means that Apple will skip the 7S iteration that would normally come next in its usual numbering system.
We still have no idea how much these phones will cost, but one thing is for sure: the X will start at a price beyond $1,000.
