Off of his forthcoming album, Dead, In The Water, which is due out in Spring of 2016, “Run Like Hell” from Saskatoon singer-songwriter Alex Bent exists at the junction where savvy R&B meets techno’s industrial tension, where shrewd pop absorbs emo gravitas. Oh, and the song contains samples of both Wu Tang Clan’s C.R.E.A.M and Nine Inch Nails’ “Hurt.”

I cannot say enough about this tune––big ‘ol horns and vibes for days.

Pet Sun knows what they’re good at (grungy psych rock slow-burners) and they continue to impress.

Toronto’s The Lipstick Junkies have pop on lock with their latest offering “Build Me a Box.” If you’re a fan of Billy Joel circa 1980-1983 you’ll dig this song.

You know what I like about these guys? No frills. Just straight up hard rock in the vein of Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, and even a little Zeppelin.
