Artist: Tycho
Song: Time To Run
A driving, punchy, vibrant instrumental song from 2x GRAMMY Award–nominated electronic artist Tycho. Scott Hansen, the mind behind Tycho, explains the sporty origins of this song: “As a competitive runner throughout my early life, I would play back loops of songs in my head to cope with the stress of races, focusing on rhythmic elements to help pace myself and stay calm. There is a unique form of clarity that I have found through the meditative practice of running, it is a fundamentally human experience, and when I feel the deepest connection between the mind, body, and nature. ‘Time To Run’ is my attempt to translate these ideas into music.”

Song: Kalk Gidelim (remix)
Turkish psych-folk innovators Altın Gün have shared new remixes of two highlights from this year’s impressive new album, Aşk. Never ones to stick to a genre, this remix by Altin Gün’s very own percussionist Chris Bruining is inspired by Argentina’s cumbia villera movement, infusing their ecclectic sound with a laid-back reggae feel.
