Artist: Fauna Shade “Marzipan”
Album: Baton Rouge
Straight out of the Puget Sound and Cascade Mountains of Everett, Washington, Scotty Smith and Fauna Shade have just released a strange little number titled “Marzipan.” Even between rippling reverb soaked guitars and colourful electronic flourishes, it’s the tone of Smith’s unusual vibrato that shines brightest.

Artist: Strange Names “Ricochet”
Album: Frenchkiss
Strange Names get big time brownie points for the vocal hook on this track –– it’s of the funkiest persuasion.

This hazy sun-bleached track is the latest from Swedish lo-fi chillwave artist Summer Heart (aka David Alexander).

Artist: Black River Bell “The Blackbirds”
Album: The Blackbirds
“The Blackbirds” from Sydney based singer-songwriter Timothy Bray, is a haunting ballad, which blurs the lines between folk, dream pop and classical minimalism.
