Artist: Wildlife “Dead Century”
Canadian indie rock outfit Wildlife have returned with their first offering since their 2013 breakthrough album, On The Heart. A fitting follow-up to their top 10 radio hit “Lightening Tent,” the new single is titled “Dead Century” and it’s a soaring anthem about having one foot in an age that has already passed while trying to find acceptance for a world that feels perpetually unfamiliar.
Artist: Blinker The Star “Century of The Self”
Album: 11235 EP
Off of their current EP 11235, “Century of The Self” from Blinker The Star is like a beautifully frantic lo-fi dream sequence tussling about inside your brain.
Artist: AIRBAG “Killer”
Norwegian prog rock band AIRBAG have returned with a brand new single titled, “Killer.” Off of their forthcoming album, Disconnected, which is due out on June 10 via Karisma Records, “Killer” sees the band exploring whole new soundscapes and bringing together lush rhythmic patterns with delicate electronic flourishes.
Artist: Die Antwood “Dazed and Confused” ft. GOD
Album: Suck On This Mixtape
Die Antwood just dropped their first song in two years and it’s a wacky track titled, “Dazed and Confused.” Off of their upcoming Suck On This Mixtape, which is due out May 19, this song sounds like Grimes performing something off of No Doubt’s Rock Steady.
Artist: Greyson Chance “Back on The Wall”
Album: Somewhere Over My Head
If the name Greyson Chance sounds at all familiar it’s likely because you’re one of the 55 million people who stumbled across a video of his precocious performance of Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” back in 2010. Six years later, Chance has returned with a brand new single titled “Back on The Wall,” and quite honestly it’s such a solid, well-crafted pop R&B tune that it surpasses any expectations one might have of a young singer/songwriter who rises to prominence on the back of a Youtube cover. This kid has some real chops, his falsettos are incredible, and this song’s a hit.
