By: Juliette Jagger
Artist: Current Swell “Keys To The Kingdom”
Album: Ulysses
This is the latest off of Vancouver electric-blues band Current Swell’s fifth studio album, Ulysses. Bringing together the sounds of both My Morning Jacket and The Sheepdogs, it’s had no trouble cracking the Top 10 Alternative Charts here in Canada and is still on the rise.

Album: Single
**ReverbNation Pick**
This is the latest from Atlanta based rock band Death on Two Wheels. Wailing and raspy as all hell, “Look At The Sound” is some good old all American rock and roll.

Artist: Stuck On Planet Earth “Pain”
Album: Single
“Pain” is the latest from Vaughan, Ontario based alternative rock band Stuck On Planet Earth and it’s definitely a heavy-duty, kick you in the teeth kind of track.

Artist: Elephant Stone “Child of Nature (Om Namah Shivaya)”
Album: The Three Poisons
There is something incredibly intriguing about Montreal psych-rock outfit Elephant Stone and there’s a great little story behind this track. Frontman Rishi Dhir is said to have written the song while trying to set music to the Tibetan Book of the Dead, much like what John Lennon did for The Beatles’ “Tomorrow Never Knows”.

Artist: THE WEAKNESS “Never Wana Go Back”
Album: Single
The Weakness is the latest musical offering from Toronto-based indie-folk artist Faye Blais. With its pounding drumbeats, shimmering synths and delicate, soulful vocal delivery, this one errs more on the side of electro-pop, but there’s an immediate sense of drama about this track (think MS MR or London Grammar).

The Elephant Stone track is fantastic. Thanks for sharing.
…I’m also partial to them just because of their name.
