Artist: DYLYN
Song: “American Nightmare”
Album/EP: Single

Toronto pop songstress DYLYN has returned with yet another banger entitled, “American Nightmare.” The track offers that same in-your-face-energy as previous singles, “Secret” and the ever-infectious “Mimosa,” but pairs it with lyrics that nail the millennial experience right to the wall.

Artist: Palehound
Song: “If You Met Her”
Album/EP: A Place I’ll Always Go

Off of her forthcoming sophomore album, A Place I’ll Always Go, “If You Met Her” from Boston’s Palehound (aka Ellen Kempner) is sort of blissfully caught in life’s droning loop.

Artist: JESSE
Song: “Luck”
Album/EP: Hard Sky

From Jesse Jerome Jenkins (Pure X), “Luck” is like walking the line between warm euphoria and total abyss. Maybe they’re the same thing?

Artist: ARY
Song: “Childhood Dreams”
Album/EP: Single

“Childhood Dreams” from Oslo-based artist ARY is all about the feel. Her jazz-inflected hums carry a breathy melody atop of a pulsating electronic backbeat while her lyrics suggest both a sense of artistic isolation and a burning desire to quench her thirst for more.
