Artist: Close Talker
Song: “Waking Up”
Album/EP: Lens
Saskatchewan shoegaze outfit, Close Talker, have just released a brand new video for their single, “Waking Up.” Shot in -30 below conditions with limited daylight, it captures the beauty and expansiveness of the band’s Prairie home, even in the dead of a Canadian winter.
Listen/Watch:
Artist: SINAN
Song: “Dancers of The Cave”
Album/EP: Single
I recently had the great pleasure of attending the first ever Palestine Music Expo. The experience opened the floodgates for me to connect with a vast array of artists and discover some incredible new music that is being made right now in the Middle East.
SINAN is one of those artists. Checkout “Dancers of The Cave.” There is something primal and almost other-worldly about this track.
Listen/Watch:
Artist: Annie Hardy
Song: “Train”
Album/EP: Rules
OH this track! “Train” from Annie Hardy is a delicately obtuse love song, dripping with longing for something that’s not yet even gone.
Listen/Watch:
Artist: High Signs
Song: “A Much Larger Ocean”
Album/EP: Single
From Toronto punk duo High Signs, “A Much Larger Ocean” is a gut punch introduction to this band’s energetic and abrasive new sound––they almost pick up where Hostage Life left off.
Listen/Watch:
Artist: Joywave
Song: “It’s a Trip!”
Album/EP: Content
Rochester outfit Joywave are back with a brand new single entitled, “It’s a Trip!.” The song comes paired with a hilarious new video that sees the band rapidly aging from young men to decrepit skeletons while, wait for it, sea-doing. |
