New Music From The Inbox: Menace Beach, Blitzen Trapper, A Sunny Day In Glasgow, Joshua Radin, Spencer Soloduka and The Tearaways

By: Juliette Jagger

Artist: Menace Beach “Tastes Like Medicine”
Album: Ratworld

“Tastes Like Medicine” is the third single off of Leeds based band Menace Beach’s forthcoming debut Ratworld, and it’s a messy, frenetic little slice of rock and roll.

Artist: Blitzen Trapper “Wild Mountain Nation”

Album: Live In Portland

Off of Blitzen Trapper’s first ever live album, which was recorded at the Doug Fir Lounge in Portland, Oregon, “Wild Mountain Nation” captures this experimental alt-country quintet at its most electric.

Artist: A Sunny Day In Glasgow “In Love With Useless (The Timeless Geometry In The Tradition Of Passing)” [Fang Island Remix]
A Sunny Day In Glasgow have had a stellar 2014. Their fourth LP Sea When Absent was met with widespread critical acclaim and they toured for the first time in four years. When they returned to the US this past month, they brought Jason Bartell’s (of Fang Island) new project, Wins, along with them. Needless to say, they’re all pals, hence this latest remix of “In Love With Useless.”

Artist: Joshua Radin “Beautiful Day”
Onward and Sideways

Off of Radin’s sixth studio album, Onward and Sideways, due out on January 6, 2015 via Wax Records, “Beautiful Day,” which features guest vocals from Sheryl Crow, poignantly portrays the rush that is falling head first into love.

Artist: Spencer Soloduka & The Tearaways “Supernatural”
Album: Self-Titled
It seems that traditional soul is very much alive and well in P.E.I with Spencer Soloduka & The Tearaways.
