New Order Releases Their First Song in 10 Years. Listen.
Come September, New Order will release the (Hooky-less albeit with a fully complete Gillian Gilbert) Music Complete. The first single appeared today. Given that this is New Order v2.1 (i.e. Hooky-less but with Gillian), let’s pay attention to the bottom end.
It’s okay/mediocre.
When New Order last “came back” in a big way, with Get Ready in 2001, I was blown away by the sound of the new single, Crystal. But holy hell, those lyrics, “Our love, it’s like honey, you can’t buy it with money,” just killed me with how terrible they sounded. Those lyrics sucked, but the album was otherwise fantastic.
At least the (great) video gave The Killers their name?
