New Recordings of the Song of Jupiter

As a longtime astronomy nerd, I’ve been following the adventures of the Juno spacecraft, a probe that’s trying to unravel some of the secrets of Jupiter. Because of the planet’s weird makeup, it generates all kinds of frequencies in the radio spectrum. Jupiter “sings.”

NASA’s latest Jupiter recording comes from Juno’s swoop around the planet’s north pole where he captured the sound of the auroras. It’s both eerie and beautiful. Read more here.
