New Releases This Week: 29 November 2011

Outside of next week’s Black Keys release, pretty much everything that needs to be in the stores is there as of today.  We won’t see too much else because radio stations are in the process of freezing their playlists for the holidays and any new singles that get released now will inevitably be considered old by the time everyone gets back to work for real in January.

Here’s what you can look for today, courtesy of the people at The Tuesday Guide.

Cage/Supremacy of Steel:  Sixth album from this San Diego metal band.

Gorillaz/The Singles Collection 2001-2011:  Is the band done?  That’s usually the reason for a greatest hits record because it tends to fulfill any remaining contractual obligations.  Or is this just a way for everyone to get caught up?  I’m gonna go for the special 7-inch box set.

Rammstein/Made in Germany:  Another greatest hits record.  If you’ve never experienced Rammstein, do it now.  Schnell!

Um, that’s about all, really.  Mind you, there is a Doris Day album coming Friday…

  • If you really want to hear The failures and reverses which await Balenciaga – and one after another sadden the brow of Borse Balenciaga – add a dignity to the prospect of human life, which no Arcadian success would do.
