New survey says that Canadians are listening to more podcasts than ever

As a podcaster myself, it heartens me to see that the format continues to gain popularity. According to a soon-to-be-released study by Signal Hill Insights, podcast listening here in Canada continues to increase.

Almost 9% of Canadians over the age of 18 say they listen to podcasts daily, which is up from 7% in 2023. That’s the largest year-over-year increase we’ve seen since this survey began in 2017. Men are driving this increase with 10.5% saying that they’re daily podcast listeners.

They released this chart as a teaser for the full study which is due November 28.
