New Ticketing App Gets Love from iTunes

It’s called Applauze and is now available in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.  From the press release:

Since launching in the Apple App Store in March 2013 as Editor’s Choice in the US, Applauze has quickly become one of the premier event discovery and ticketing apps on iOS devices. Developed by 955 Dreams, Applauze is now available in Canada in the App Store for iPhone and iPod Touch. iTunes Canada is now featuring Applauze as Editor’s Choice

Applauze features a stunning user interface to discover Sports, Theater, Music and Community events in Canada and the US. In addition to covering the entire Great White North (yes, we are are fans of Rush and Bob & Doug McKenzie!), the Applauze team expertly-curates events in five Canadian cities: Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.

Applauze helps you discover, plan and attend the best events around you. Now available in 46 major metropolitan areas with more on the way, the app features the hottest tickets sourced from a network of ticket brokers. With prices changing in real-time based on demand and other factors, Applauze prices are competitive with major ticket sources like StubHub and TicketsNow, and tickets are totally hassle free to purchase. The price you see is what you pay – there are no hidden fees or additional charges added to a user’s purchase.

Fortune Magazine called Applauze “the honest ticketing app. Applauze can get you into the [event] and lets you know exactly how much it will cost up front.”

Applauze is intuitive. Features include search for events, artists, sports teams, etc., everywhere in the US and Canada – not just the curated cities. The “Soon” feature allows users to sort through events using a variety of date ranges, from just showing today’s events, to seeing weekend events, or within a specific date range. Applauze users can chat in app with the rest of their party to discuss ticket purchasing options, and can also chat directly with Applauze’s customer support team without having to leave the app.

Applauze is now available for free in the iTunes App Store. Compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad. Requires iOS 6.0 or later. This app is optimized for iPhone 5.
