Nickelback CD Destroyed by Australian Police

Suspicious Secret Santa gift

Okay, so it was a joke–but, hey, I laughed. From UPI:

An Australian police department joked a Secret Santa’s “suspicious package” — a Nickelback CD — “will now be destroyed.”

The Queensland Police Service posted a picture on its Facebook page Monday showing a partially unwrapped CD by the oft-mocked Canadian band with a caption poking fun at the gag gift.

“Police media team report a suspicious package has been received as part of the office secret Santa. It will now be destroyed #BlameCanada #JokesOnUs,” the Facebook post read.

  • It is pretty sad that a whole generation of people worldwide get their understanding of Canada from a South Park episode.
