Nine Inch Nails Reveal Unreleased David Bowie Cover

For a long while, Trent Reznor and David Bowie had this mutual admiration thing going on. They recorded together, toured together and hung out together. So it’s no surprise that when Bowie–his idol, his mentor, his friend–died, Trent took it really, really hard.

To help process the shock and loss, Trent recorded a song called “I Can’t Give Everything Away,” a track from Blackstar, Bowie’s final album. This recording was never released, but Nine Inch Nails performed it for the first time the other night. Of course, there’s video.

Just for fun, here’s the original.
