  • Personally, I thought it was awesome. Loved the orchestration.

  • I appreciate that he was trying to be authentic to the vibe of the song, but I think the execution of that premise kinda missed the mark vocally .. a little. But, it wasn’t terrible. And, to be honest, it is a performance that is very hard to match because it is SO ICONIC. NO ONE could even come close to the bar that was set by Ian Curtis and Joy Division on that song. I think his bravery is to be commended. Honestly, I liked it, and the orchestra was such a nice touch!

  • Does this affect the rumoured reunion?

  • sometimes it’s better to leave some things well alone.
is it just me or is there a note missing from the orchestra bit in the chorus?

    • I thought exactly the same thing. I have no qualifications to say so, but I felt it too – you aren’t alone.

  • Covering one of the all time great songs could have been a challenge, but they pulled it off quite nicely.
Loved the full orchestra. Hope it doesn’t effect the rumored reunion either.

  • It cheerfully dismisses the hopeless remorsefulness ov the original with the great chorus and orchestral arrangement and I’m sure it’s intentional. I waz never that fond ov the song anyway although I like the LP’s quite a bit. Some will take offence but so what. Lyrically it’s quite grim anyway and what he’s done with it haz just brightened it up.
