North By Northeast 2017: Here Are the Early Details
North by Northeast 2017 will run from June 16 to 25, 2017 in Toronto. That’s right, the festival will expand to 10 days and include a dynamic selection of music, gaming, comedy, and more. From June 23 to 25, NXNE returns to Port Lands, a unique and unexplored area of Toronto.
NXNE Portlands will feature two main stages, art installations, sponsor activations, and comfortable places to hang out between acts. There will also be a comedy tent and carnival rides.
President and Managing Director of NXNE Michael Hollett comments:
“In it’s first year the NXNE Port Lands saw thousands of attendees in two days. Our growth and expansion for 2017 are based on the success of last year with cool programming from indie rock to hip hop to soul and much more each day”.
The festival kicks off with NXNE Game Land at Yonge-Dundas Square. There, you can join in a huge, live e-Sports competition, see demos of new video games, experience interactive activations, and enjoy live music from June 16-18.
The rest of the festival will be held at various venues across the city for NXNE Club Land. Some of these venues include Danforth Hall, the Horseshoe Tavern, and Adelaide Hall.
